In der 12. Klasse haben wir ungefähr ein Jahr „street kids“ durchgenommen. Mir hing dieses Thema total aus den Ohren heraus. Außerdem fand ich das Thema nicht „greifbar“. Hier ist es allerdings sehr wohl greifbar. Und das ist unglaublich schrecklich zu sehen! Sammy hat immer mal wieder Kontakt mit den Straßenkinder von Kitale. Dementsprechend stehen die Kids immer vor ihrem Auto, wenn wir zum Beispiel zurück aus dem Supermarkt kommen. Letztens habe ich acht Kinder gezählt. Teilweise trugen sie keine Schuhe. Dann waren dicke Lehmklumpen an ihren Füßen zu sehen. Wenn sie Schuhe getragen haben, waren diese bis auf einige Milimeter komplett durch gelatscht. Wie die Kleidung aussah muss ich glaub ich nicht wirklich ausführlich beschreiben: löchrig, dreckig und geruchsintensiv. Und jedes dieser Kinder hatte eine Flasche Klebe bei sich.
Das ist wirklich schlimm!
